Once again the renowned Pakistan cricket batsman Umar Akmal is facing a controversy. He has been declared 'BANNED' from all the 3 cricket formats over corruption charges.
Not to forget, few days back he had received a good news from the owner of Pakistan super league's team Quetta Gladiators, Nadeem Umar that if he would prove himself clearly innocent in the recent controversy, he would be able to be placed back in the team immediately. But unfortunately, he didn't prove himself innocent to the anti corruption code team.
Keep in notice that he said in his earlier interviews that he was offered $200,000 by fixers to leave two deliveries in a match. He also confessed that he was offered huge money to skip the matches played against India. However, not telling these incidents to PCB or Anti Corruption Code has lead the talented player into trouble.
His remarks:
His remarks upon hearing the decision were:' I am totally shocked to know the decision and I will reach out every platform for justice as I know I am innocent.'
However, he still has the right to challenge the decision within 14 days.
Thanks for bringing this information to our notice.
